Kicking off Teacher Appreciation Week, the PTSA sponsored a faculty luncheon in the TLC on Tuesday. Teachers and faculty from around the building endeavored down to the TLC to enjoy a hearty meal from Red Hot and Blue. "It was fantastic!" Ms. Tooze, and English teacher here at Mason said, "It's a nice treat to have in the middle of the day, because normally teachers aren't given enough time to go out to lunch. And it was fun to eat in the TLC, they had table cloths and flowers set out." The PTSA purchased the lunch for the teachers to enjoy together, in a more relaxed setting, away from grade books and assignments.
Friday of this week, the FEA is sponsoring a breakfast to thank all of George Mason's teachers, but you can take it upon yourself to add in an extra "Thank you" at the end of class. As a wise woman names Helen Peters once said, "Teacher appreciation makes the world of education go around."
