Chileans Rock the Crowd

At 2:15 in the auditorium on Tuesday, George Masonites gathered into their seats to enjoy the annual Chilean assembly. Students and teachers alike were introduced to wind instruments, Polynesian dancing, native songs, and a slide show of Chile’s beautiful cities and landscapes. At the end of the song Nino Otra Vez, sung by one of our Chilean visitors, the rest of the exchange students came on stage to sing the last verse and bow. The crowd cheered as the Chileans left the stage only to soon be called back on for an encore. If there ever were celebrities at our school, our “brothas from unda the equator” would be it, and the assembly showed just that.
