George Mason students packed the TLC last week as Roger Neighborgall came to speak.

The subject was the 'Last Great War', Hitler's rise and fall and, of course, Auschwitz - the terror of the Holocaust. His lecture was based not on what he had learned as much as what he had experienced first hand as a member of the Army's 5th Ranger Battalion at Normandy, France and in the Battle of the Bulge.

Through slides of the time and a personal collection including a machine gun magazine, a Nazi flag he captured, and the Silver Star medal he earned, Neighborgall shared his experiences with the group.
