Every February, we celebrate the Presidents, especially Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.
Abraham Lincoln wore a big black hat and George Washington wore a corner-three hat.
“I think Abraham Lincoln wore a big blak hat with his wrke under it. He can’t hold all of his work and it falls out of his hands,” said Jasmine.
“Abraham Lincoln was the best president because he tried to stop slavery. I went on a trip with my parents to the Abraham Lincoln museum and I saw the exact replica of the bullet that went through his head. It was disgusting,” explained Sonya.
Abraham Lincoln and George Washington’s birthdays are in February. We celebrate President’s Day in February because of their two birthdays.
“Abraham Lincoln and George Washington are my favoritest presidents because one was a leader and the other speaked up for people—the slaves,” said Jasmine.
Students in Mrs. Kravinsky’s first grade class colored pictures of the presidents before the holiday.
“We didn’t have school that day and I liked it because I got to have a play date with my best friend. Thank you, presidents!” exclaimed Jasmine.
