The George Mason Scholastic Bowl team won their third consecutive state title on Saturday as the team capped off an amazing season that began as a rebuilding year, but ended with the team on a great roll as they went undefeated through the district, region and state tournaments.
The team got great contributions all day from all of its members as Liam O'Connell led the team in scoring for the day, and senior captain Michael Irvine led the team with six tossups in the final game to help the team make it over the final hurdle to the state title.
