It’s that time of year again, no not the holiday season, quite the opposite; the pool season! It’s usually a time where middle-aged women and teenage girls alike break a sweat attempting to get in shape and find the perfect bikini. For the guys however, it’s time to maybe hit up the pump shack, because it’s swimsuit time!
Three of the most popular pools in the area are Lee Graham, Highpoint and Poplar Heights. Although these pools are close in distance, they are very far apart in style.
Lee Graham very well may be the “King” of all pools. Lee Graham has everything one could want from a high dive, volleyball net, basketball hoop, tether-ball pole, ping-pong table, to a great snack bar. Lee Graham also has tennis courts, and a great swim and dive team. Lee Graham is a great place to see tons of people, but for those who are looking for a more quiet pool, Poplar Heights is the way to go.
Poplar Heights is the “chill” pool. Poplar Heights is equipped with tennis courts, a picnic area, a slide, lots of shade, a large baby pool, and a play-ground for the little ones. The PH Crush swim team is another plus to this pool. If you’re looking for a place to get away from all the noise and relax, Poplar Heights is the best bet.
High Point is commonly referred to as the “hangout” pool. High Point has an awesome double-slide, a large pool, and a great baby area. High point is the happy medium of the three pools. It’s never too packed, but never too empty; there are fantastic features for adults and for kids as well. If you are looking for a place to unwind, get a tan and hang out with some friends, High Point is the perfect option.
