Last Thursday night, May 5, the girls tennis team remembered that love means nothing on the court, after scoring 7-2 against Clarke County. The Mason team also found time to celebrate the Lady Mustang seniors, recognizing Jessica Lim, Christel De O'campo, Molly Sedmak, Maria Sugasti and Gemma Siedita for their commitment and dedication as they anticipate graduation.

Gemma Sedita, who will be attending the University of Virginia in the fall, said, “It was really nice of the team to recognize all the seniors, and it made me realize how much I will miss tennis at Mason next year.”

During senior night, Coach Bravin announced each senior and honored them for their accomplishments on the court as well as off. The younger players also made signs and banners recognizing the seniors.

However, despite the nostalgia, the girls tennis team was in full form—volleying, serving, and spinning as if it was their last day on the court. After a close tie in singles, our Mustang Sallys came out on top.

This week, the tennis team will travel to Clark County, where they will play another match to determine who will be district champions.
