The competition consists of over 500 individuals who work in teams of three where two fallers dance acrobatically through the air and the third faller films.
Surprisingly, this adrenaline pumping sport is much safer than many people think. With only 30-minutes of training, anyone that is over eighteen and healthy can jump out of an airplane while attached to the instructor. For the more determined individuals, there is a rigorous four-hour training course followed by a separate jump.
Despite all of the safety precautions, some people still refuse to jump. Senior Tyler Duncan said, "That stuff is crazy, I would never do that." He continued, "I'm afraid of heights and just...no, it's just too crazy."
After this win, Jason Wright hopes to continue his career safely and maybe even win more competitions in the future.
