Charlotte Hyland - Vice-Chairman

School Board Service: 2008 - Present. Gifted and Talented Advisory Committee.

Professional Background: Project Coordinator, Washington Group Sales. University of Colorado, B. A. History. New York University, coursework toward MA in Hospital Administration. Past service includes involvement on elementary PTA (vice president and newsletter editor), middle school PTA, high school PTSA (current newsletter editor), and numerous additional classroom volunteer opportunities.

Reason for becoming a school board member: "With three children in all three levels of Falls Church City schools, serving on the School Board seemed like the perfect next step for me to take and still be involved in the schools, to build on the volunteering that I have done in so many capacities over the past ten years. While on the Board, I hope to keep our schools excellent and be a voice for students of all abilities."
